“Modern Marilyn” : Lara Stone : Vogue China January 2012 : Peter Lindbergh

If you’ve been following my posts, you should know by now I have two weaknesses: Alexander McQueen and Lara Stone.

Yes, the Marilyn Monroe theme has been used so many times that it is literally sick to think of another “Marilyn-inspired” editorial, but Lara brings something so spectacular to these photos; real emotion. The photo of her gazing outside the car window shows so much expression on her part. Now, Lara had some help with photographer Peter Lindbergh, who is known for taking emotion-packed, moving photos.

To some people, this may just be another “Marilyn-inspired” editorial, but I feel Lara Stone really showed that she is the #1 model in the world in “Modern Marilyn” for Vogue China January 2011 lensed by photographer Peter Lindbergh. -Taylor
