Jason Wu’s new collection for Target
Many designers decide to pair up with a, well, let’s be honest, less expensive, average retailer to market their clothes to people who cannot afford a $1,000 dress or $2,000 handbag. Instead, they create a collection, still inspired by their own designs, and team up with smaller retailers. Versace for H&M, Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s, and Missoni for Target are all examples of this happening.
Now, the Versace for H&M collection was, in my opinion, over-hyped and still kinda pricey. Jason Wu’s collection for Target is really great as it is very womanly and femine, yet doesn’t look “too girly”. Some pieces include flowy dresses, cardigans, sweaters, blouses, skirts, scarfs, totes, and handbags. What’s even better about the collection? Most of it is under $50.
$32 for a soft pink, slightly frilly blouse? Sign me up! (Did I mention the bags, which aren’t pictured below, are unbelievably gorgeous?)
The collection is available in stores February 5th. Here is a preview! -Taylor
