Dior S/S 2012 Collection
Firstly, fulfilling John Galliano’s shoes is going to be extremely hard. Secondly, Dior has never been a “safe” label and has pushed the limits with both Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear.
With this S/S 2012 collection, all I can really say is it’s average, which in my case means it’s lacking risk and is more on the safe side. However, there are a lot of beautiful pieces in this collection that I love. The collection, primarily consisting of light hues and black, also included a vivid color palette of orange and pink as well as a dotted pattern. Overall, the looks contained a slight vintage vibe and feminine flare.
The show had many new, upcoming, and famous faces including Karolina Kurkova, Vlada Roslyakova, Olga Sherer, Sigrid Agren, Karlie Kloss, Karmen Pedaru, Joan Smalls, Monika Jagaciak, Frida Gustavsson, Constance Jablonski, and newcomers Josephine Shriver, Nyaska Matonhodze, and more. -Taylor
