Chanel S/S 2012 Collection

Composed of 85 looks, the Chanel S/S 2012 collection was far from lackluster. With inspiration leaning towards the sea (yes, those are seashell purses), designer Karl Lagerfeld created standard feminine, classic look while adding modern influences as well. The pale hued collection contained pieces in light pinks, blues, creams, and more surprisingly aqua, which also tied into the sea theme.

Overall, I like this collection a lot. The sea inspiration makes the collection stand out from “typical, simple Chanel”. The seashell bags can go, but the outfit Karmen Pedaru is wearing (Picture 7 at bottom) can stay. I look forward to seeing this collection in print next spring! -Taylor

Karl’s muses Freja Beha Erichsen, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Anja Rubik, and Karmen Pedaru walk in the show along with many other big faces.
